About Us

Founded in August of 2014, Alex Stanton had one simple goal. Build a business focused on properly maintaining lawn and landscapes, building relationships, and keeping it simple. Since then, the mindset has stayed the same, although the equipment and location has changed. To further pursue his education, Alex moved the business from Overland Park, KS to Manhattan, KS in the winter of 2023-2024.

We strive to do all of our work to proper Horticultural and Industry standards, which is one of the many reasons Stanton Lawn Services stands out from the rest. Alex has always had a passion for the outdoors and especially the green industry. From his Eagle Scout project being a paver sidewalk to always enjoying being outside with friends and family.

Currently, he is pursing a concurrent Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science at Kansas State University in Landscape Horticulture and Extension where he plans on continuing his research into a Ph.D. In his time at Kansas State he has also been heavily involved with the Horticulture Club, National Collegiate Landscape Contracting Team and has served as an Ambassador at many trade shows in the industry.
