About Us
Founded in August of 2014, Alex Stanton had one simple goal. Build a business focused on properly maintaining lawn and landscapes, building relationships, and keeping it simple. Since then, the mindset has stayed the same, although the equipment and location has changed. To further pursue his education, Alex moved the business from Overland Park, KS to Manhattan, KS in the winter of 2023-2024.
We strive to do all of our work to proper Horticultural and Industry standards, which is one of the many reasons Stanton Lawn Services stands out from the rest. Alex has had a passion for the outdoors ever since he was a kid. Growing up, he could often be found outside playing in the yard, camping with his Boy Scout troop, or at the Lake of the Ozarks with friends and family. He started Stanton Lawn Services in 2014 as a way to be outdoors and continue his passions.
When he is not managing Stanton Lawn Services, he can often be found on campus at Kansas State pursuing his Ph.D. or teaching lab sections for the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resources. His research focuses on Cooperative Extension and how resources created through K-State Research and Extension can help create behavior changes in irrigation practices, plant health care, and more.
